The Grand Theft Auto Online community has embraced a bizarre trend of ganging up on random players in green alien suits, lending a certain humor and artistry to the usual player-griefing. Players hoping to join one of GTA Online’s so-called “alien gangs” first need to find the all-important alien costume’s location.
GTA Online players are accustomed to making their own fun. The prominence of GTA Online roleyplaying has helped keep the Grand Theft Auto 5 multiplayer mode relevant since 2013, giving fans plenty of interesting content to watch on Twitch. But sometimes, players keep themselves entertained by getting up to more ridiculous shenanigans. The recent GTA Online “alien gang invasion” has led to a subreddit full of bright green aliens beating players with baseball bats, starting fights with groups of other aliens, and more.

The trend appears to have started with a post from Reddit user StraightWhiteMale02 about two weeks ago, and it has since exploded into a frenzy of costume-clad crimes. Despite a small resistance force in the form of the r/GTAOnlineAlienHunters subreddit, the alien gangs only appear to be growing. There’s even an “Intergalactics Inc.”GTA Online Crew for organizing meet-ups and beat-downs, enabling the random alien encounters to become organized. Luckily for players interested in joining, the only requirement appears to be having just the right outfit.
GTA Online: How To Get The Alien Costume
GTA Online’s green alien costume, officially called the Green Martian Bodysuit, can be bought at any clothing store, or at the clothing wall on the right side of any Ammu-Nation gun shop. To find it, players need to navigate to the “Outfits” section, select “Outfits: Arena War,” and then select “Bodysuits.” There, they’ll find the Green Martian Bodysuit, plus a Purple variant. Each can be unlocked for purchase via the GTA Online Arena War Career, or bought for the expensive price of $358,000 or $330,000, respectively.
That’s quite a bit of money, so players may want to follow Screen Rant’s GTA Online money-making tips in order to earn enough cash to afford the look. Alternatively, GTA Online players can receive $500,000 free for playing in April. If players haven’t logged in or haven’t already spent that cash, it’s a guaranteed ticket into the alien gang movement. Once players are suited up, they can look on Reddit’s r/gtaonlinecrews or r/gtafriends to find like-minded aliens to terrorize Los Santos.

Even David Cross, the voice actor for Zero in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, hates the RC plane missions associated with his character. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was the largest GTA game ever when it was first released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004, and not only did it contain more cars, weapons, collectibles, and locations than previous titles, but more unique characters (and even more talented voice performers) as well.
Zero is a character the player was introduced to shortly after reaching San Fierro, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas’ version of San Francisco. A technical genius, Zero is also the owner of a small toy store which the player ends up purchasing, and after becoming a part-owner in Zero’s business they are tasked with what are widely considered to be some of the most frustrating missions in the entire Grand Theft Auto franchise. These involve flying one of Zero’s RC planes around the city and combating his business’ nemesis, and the poor flying controls coupled with the mission’s strict requirements (and Cross’ continued commentary) have made it stand out as one of the worst in the series.

Recently, a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas player sent Cross a message on Twitter, stating that they were stuck on Zero’s infamous RC plane mission and “it’s making me never want to hear @davidcrosss speak again.” Cross seemed to understand perfectly what the player was talking about, and after they finally announced it had been completed the actor offered an apology for the annoyance, saying, “So sorry. I hated it too.” Check out the exchange below:
While it’s not surprising that even the voice actor for Zero hated the RC plane missions in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, it is pretty funny. If Cross himself once got stuck on the very same series of levels, one could only imagine how much more annoying (and existentially jarring) it would be for him to constantly hear his own voice berating him for doing poorly in the game.
As the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to drag on, it’s no surprise more players are going back and playing earlier games in the series. While there are a number of mechanics, like the burglary missions in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which are due for a next-gen comeback, forcing players to take part in RC missions definitely isn’t one of them. For now, at least, players can take solace in the fact that David Cross hated that part of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas just as much as the rest of the world did.

A new trailer for Torchlight III has landed to showcase the new mechanics of Forts and Fort customization. The highly-anticipated action RPG in the fan-favorite series of colorful Diablo-esque games was initially announced as Torchlight Frontiers, and was expected to be an online free-to-play spin-off of the original franchise with some major changes to the core gameplay.
To the old-time fans’ delight, Echtra Games – the development studio behind Torchlight III – eventually decided to rebrand the game as Torchlight III and ditch many of the planned mechanics, thus returning to the original series’ classic gameplay options and linear progression. The free-to-play distribution model has also been ditched for good, along with the planned in-game shop. That said, the rebooted title will feature some extreme innovations nonetheless.

The latest trailer for Torchlight III reveals Forts, a completely new type of mechanic that basically allows players to build their own structures. According to the announcement over on the official Torchlight IIIwebsite, Forts serve as bases of operations and can be accessed during Act I. Torchlight III will offer multiple choices for customizing Forts to infuse them with unique looks, and players will be able to unlock and craft new visual options for their fortresses over time, although the most intriguing forms of decoration will only be available through completing special Contracts. There are all sorts of interactive assets which can be set up by players, including altars, laboratories, and libraries, and each of them will serve either a functional or cosmetic purpose which will hopefully enrich the gaming experience and making the player’s base feel more personal.
The announcement doesn’t clarify where exactly Forts can be constructed in the game world, but players will be allowed to put their hard-earned treasures and trophies on display within these structures. That being said, players’ Forts will also be able to be discovered by other gamers, so the opportunity to stand out with a fascinating Fort design remains strong. If more than one Torchlight III players are using a single account, built Forts are universal and can be accessed by everyone, and all of them can contribute to adding new features to the fortress.
Overall, Forts give off an impression of a system which was originally planned as part of the free-to-play online title Torchlight Frontiers. The mechanics would make more sense and play a bigger role in an online environment, offering distinctive diverse designs in a shared world, and the announcer even says the word “frontier” at the end of the Torchlight III trailer. Additionally, some of the most bizarre and enticing customization options could’ve been sold for real-life money. As for the story-oriented Torchlight III, such an optional system is still a delight, yet arguably unnecessary.

Currently, there’s plenty of Grand Theft Auto 6 rumors and theories circulating, and the most recent one doesn’t look believable in revealing the game’s new location and supposed announcement date. According to the latest, most verifiable report on Grand Theft Auto 6, the game is still early in development.
A shift in approach from Rockstar is also rumored, with the most likely result being that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be smaller in scale upon its release to avoid the crunch culture that was so controversial in the development of Red Dead Redemption. Basically, that means that the world of GTA 6 might turn out to be more compact initially, but will change over time with a steady flow of additional content and updates. The overall speculation surrounding the next entry in the series suggests that the reveal of GTA 6 is still far away, which doesn’t line up with the latest rumors.

Fans believe that the recently announced date for Take-Two’s upcoming earnings call (via Nasdaq) could bring more credibility to a formerly popular GTA 6 announcement date theory. The theory, which is based on the Casino Update for Grand Theft Auto 5, states that the reveal of the next game will be coming in May. While it does look like vague speculation, the upcoming earnings call of Rockstar’s parent company is officially set to happen on May 11, which lines up perfectly with the supposed announcement date.
On top of that, a few statements from famed GTA leakers Yan2295 and TezFunz2 have emerged during conversations on Twitter. The former has expressed confidence that Grand Theft Auto 6 might actually be in the early stages of testing rather than early development, which contradicts GTA 6 rumors that have been revealed so far. The second leaker, TezFunz2, doesn’t believe the Kotaku-based report either. He believes that GTA 6 is roughly halfway done, and even if it isn’t, based on what he’s heard the game cannot be in the early stages of development.
Still, this is just a speculation, and it’s based around some very loose theories that are correlating elements that are likely separate from each other. The actual reveal will happen once Rockstar is ready to showcase the game, so being patient is the best solution right now. While fans continue to speculate about when the next Grand Theft Auto 6 news will emerge, it’s important to be wary of every report – even those coming from trusted sources – and to not go all-in on any of them unless it’s coming from Rockstar Games itself.
